Board Update, January 2023
Dear Tamarack Community,
As January ends and the new year is in full swing, I would like to highlight a few of the exciting events we have coming up at Tamarack Waldorf School.
We were so excited to welcome families and friends into the school for the winter assemblies. And as we look ahead, there are a variety of community-building opportunities in the coming months to reconnect with current families and friends and welcome new connections to our school.
First up, join us this coming Saturday (January 28) for a candle-making workshop with Tamarack staff members Martha Flores, Michele Peterson and Dorothy Kulke. Registration is required: https://www.parentsquare.com/feeds/17366639.
Then, on Wednesday, February 1, from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., lace up your dancing shoes for an all-school open house and family folk dance featuring the music of Mr. Celenza and his band, The Brew City Drifters!
Additionally, please save the date for the return of "Tamarack After Dark” on Saturday, April 22, and a Fabric Dyeing workshop on May 13.
Finally, as a member of the Board of Trustees, we are focused on strategic planning, board development/ recruitment, and fundraising. Therefore, I want to take the opportunity to share two very important reminders.
1. Our annual appeal is in full swing, and we are about halfway to our goal of $25,000. We encourage anyone who is able to please donate, and for those who can contribute in non-monetary ways, ask that you share the appeal with your networks. We know that our community is vast, and all support is appreciated!
2. Enrollment for the 2023-24 school is now open; please share the link below and help us spread the word: https://www.tamarackwaldorf.org/the-admissions-process
Thank you all and cheers to the year ahead!
In service,
Kristin Paltzer
